Can You Believe I Have Not Had a Cookie In A Year? Yeah, I Had To Change That

I have been craving good old chocolate chips cookies and I finally made some that my whole family devoured. I get out of school on June 20th so be prepared for a lot of food experiments once the summer is in full swing.

Pasta with tomato sauce

Always a classic

Sitr Fry

Black bean burgers

Recipe

This is a Powered by Plants recipe. It amazes me how much these resemble hamburgers. I used some Anne's Smokie Maple BBQ sauce.

Tofu and veggie skewers

Chocolate chip cookies

This recipe is from Eats Like A Bird (thank you so much). These cookies are just the way I like them, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

So moist and yummy!

Wow - you have great self control. I want a cookie just looking at yours (lol).

Your burgers are amazing. I just posted about them. They don't have the normal mushiness that bean burgers have.

Those cookies look magnificent! I sometimes have a problem in baking cookies, where they don't spread out at all, but these look just about perfect.
Did you not have cookies for a year by accident or on purpose? Either way, cool!

Wow, thanks for all the comments everyone! It is great to know people are reading my blog and that I am not just blogging to myself. I am so glad that so many people have tried (Midwest Vegan) and want to try my black bean burgers. It makes me so happy that you guys like my recipes. I had not had cookies in a year because when I became vegan a little over a year ago, I spent so much time on cooking and only a little time baking. I was really into brownies and never branched out with my baking. Now, I am going to try to put more baking in my blog because I really do have a sweet tooth (or rather a chocolate tooth), but I just stick with simple sweets like chocolate covered espresso beans (my all time favorite treat!). I am not too much of a bake fan and basically only like desserts with chocolate and peanut butter in it. But wow I am babbling, but thank you so much for all the positive feedback for my blog. It really makes me want to continue blogging.

Okay, I know a lot of people have already said this but...no cookies for a whole YEAR??? I can't even fathom such a thing. Even now that I'm eating raw food, I still make cookies. I can't escape the sweet little round form, baked or unbaked!

Anyway, these cookies look excellent, as does everything else. Black bean burgers - yum!
