My Brother Baked me chocolate cookies for my birthday.
And my friend made me vegan cupcakes. They were amazing!
Pumpkin pancakes I made over my christmas break. I used the VWaV waffle recipe and added more soymilk. SO good!

It feels great to have paid for it with my own money because most people in my school are given cars. I have been saving my whole life. It is a 1999 Volks Wagon Beatle and I bought it at a used Honda dealership. It only had 30,000+ miles on it and I got it for a very, very good price. I even have money left over.

Hi Kate! I have missed you and was a bit concerned, but am glad to hear all is wonderful. I love your car! My hubby and I both want a bug. To me they are so cute. DH grew up with them. Out here in San Diego, they are so expensive. Happy Birthday and congrats on your driving license. I hope you are able to stay in touch a little more often, but we understand. Hey Kate, I was just crusing the PPK forums for veg burger ideas and I saw a post from loooooong ago about a challenge your brother put you up to to create a burger tasting burger. How'd that go?
If you haven't tried it yet, Veg. Times has a recipe for a MeatLoaf using soy crumbles and tofu that is INSANELY like the real thing and is best with some ketchup on a sandwhich or bun when room temp or cool. Look on their website under Meatless "Meatloaf" Sandwiches. We call 'em Neatloaf at our house and they win omni's over EVERY time. ;)
