SUMMER TIME... and the livin's easy
Guess what? I am officially on summer vacation! For Father’s Day I made my dad biscotti and we ate it with espresso (I have an espresso machine). The farmer’s market was up for the first time but it was pretty bare. I plan on going every weekend. Yesterday I went to the beach with my friends for the first time of the year. It rained but we still had a great time. We stopped at this great soft serve Italian ice place with ices that were so creamy, they tasted like ice cream.

Oh, I love the beach and yours looks so beautiful... So glad you're on summer vacation! And I'm sure Dad really enjoyed that biscotti and espresso... I still have never made biscotti but I'd love to--it sounds great right now. All your farmers market finds and summer eats look fab!

ReplyDeleteI could totally go for the biscotti and espresso. Whenever I'm in a bad mood I always turn to coffe for some reason and today has been rotten. Just looking at your picture cheered me up a little.

ReplyDeleteI know this was an old post but I was browsing your blog and wanted to let you know the curly green things that you thought were from onions look like garlic scapes to me. Garlic scapes are the flower part of a garlic plant. They are very yummy chopped and added to stir fries and sauces! Inside the little pod there are sometimes these little white seeds, they taste like mini garlic cloves. Yum!
